When my therapist raised prices from 400 to 800, I did not complain.
When my therapist raised prices from 800, and I got laid off and really needed it, he raised prices to 1200.
Damn you!
Many people who need therapy most, either refuse, won't go, don't know about it, or get priced out of the market.
I know the arguments for the free market as well as anyone, but this one is personal.
As an entrepreneur and small business owner once said, "When it starts to rain (you really need capital), the banks shut their umbrellas and leave you to soak and shiver in the cold, cold rain."
These service providers really are sunny day friends, who won't or aren't sufficient for the rainy day.
